Chinese Company Develops Brain Chip, Enters Competition with Neuralink

A Chinese company claims to have successfully developed a brain chip implanted into a monkey that enables remote control of a robot arm. 

This poses competition for Elon Musk’s Neuralink venture, a pioneer in brain-computer interface technology.

Beijing Xinzhida Neurotechnology, backed by the Chinese government, unveiled the NeuCyber Array BMI System at a Beijing technology convention. The device captures neuron signals to decode intentions for action control.

Demonstrations showcased a monkey using the implant to manipulate a robot arm, signaling significant progress in brain chip technology. However, concerns arise regarding ethical implications and regulatory oversight.
